1.  What is an Address Book?
An Address Book is the place where you store the email addresses of the contacts that you wish to be in regular touch with. It helps addressing emails more convenient. Addresses can be stored as Individuals and/or Groups.

2.  How can I use the Address Book?
To use your address book, you need to first add email addresses of your contacts (family, friends, relatives etc.). For this, use Quick Add on various pages in your Rediffmail (E.g. Sent Mail page, Add New Contact page).

Once you have added a contact to your Address Book, you can send an email to the contact through Quick Address Book or by clicking on the To:, Cc: and Bcc: links.

3.  How do I add an Individual Contact?
Click on 'Add New Contact' to add an Individual Contact.

To edit an Individual Contact click on 'Edit' besides an Individual Contact

Select an Individual Contact by clicking on the checkbox besides the Nickname and click on the 'Delete' button.

6.  How do I send an email to more than one contact at a time?
To send email straight from your Address Book to multiple contacts, select the checkboxes besides the respective nicknames and click on 'Send Mail'. This will take you to the 'Write Mail' page with the 'To:' field pre-filled with the Addresses you have selected.

7.  What are Group Contacts?
Your contacts can be grouped according to your choice (E.g. Friends, Colleagues etc). Each Group you create will consist of Individual Contacts.

You can send an email to the entire group by just entering the group name in the To:, Cc: or Bcc: field while writing an email.

8.  How do I create Group Contacts?
Click on 'Group Contacts' in Address Book, then click on 'Add New Group' button on the Group Contacts page.

Type the name of the group (E.g. Friends, Colleagues).

Select the Individual(s) from the Quick Individual List and click on the ‘<<’ button or type the email address of the Individual directly in the ‘List of Individuals in this Group’ box.

Click on ‘Create’ to complete the process.

9.  What is Quick Address Book?
Quick Address Book is a list of Individuals and Groups in your Address Book whom can be quickly added to the To:, Cc: and Bcc: fields.

10.  How do I import my address book?
If you have an Address Book on Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape or Yahoo Mail, you need to export the address book from these mail clients and save it in their file format. Then select the file that you have exported and click on 'Import Addresses' in your Rediffmail Address Book.
