    Answers:

1.  How do I update my personal details?
Click on 'Update Personal Details'. First enter the secured area by entering your current password. These details are taken from your Rediffmail registration form. Keep these updated; it will help us serve you better.

2.  How do I change my password?
Click on 'Change Password'. First enter the secured area by entering your current password. Then type your current and new passwords in the fields displayed.

It is recommended that you change the password frequently for better security.

3.  What is a Hint Question?
This question will be asked to you in case you forget your password. Create a unique Hint Question, the answer of which only you know.

You can also update the Hint Question along with your password.

4.  What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, click on 'Forgot Password' and answer details like your Birth date, Country, City of birth etc. If you answer these correctly you will be asked to answer the 'Hint Question'. The Rediffmail system will then generate a new password and display it on the pop-up screen. You must then login with this new password. After logging in, you can change to a new password of your choice by going to 'My Settings'.

5.  How do I add my signature to all the emails I am sending?
Click on 'Add Signature', type the signature line you want, check the option of adding the signature to all outgoing mails and click on 'Ok'.

6.  How do I set automatic reply?
Send an automatic reply to incoming emails when you are away. (E.g. while on vacation).

Click on 'Set Automatic Reply'. Specify the subject in the 'Subject' field and type the contents of the email in the displayed box. Click on the checkbox besides 'Activate my auto reply' to activate the response mail and click 'Save'.

7.  How do I change the Spam settings?
In Rediffmail the Spam filter has been set to active by default, which means the Spam filter will divert all the unwanted emails to Junk Mail folder by itself. In case you want to deactivate the Spam filter, click on 'Deactivate Spam filter' on the Stop Spam page.

8.  How do I unblock the senders that I have blocked?
If you have blocked a sender, you can unblock by removing the contact from the block sender's list. To do this, go to the 'Block Sender' page. Select the email id from the 'Block Sender List' and click the 'Remove' button.

9.  What are Filters?
Filters are rules that help you to manage your emails better. You can divert incoming emails straight to a specified folder using filters. You can filter by sender, by other recipients, by subject or by message size.

10.  How do I create/edit a mail filter?
You can filter all emails and receive emails only from those in your address book, on the Mail Filter page.

Or you can create your own email filter. To Create/Edit Mail Filters click on 'Mail filter'. Then click on the 'Create New Filter' button. You can filter by sender, by other recipients, by subject or by message size.

11.  How do I view the filters that I have set?
Click on 'Mail Filters' on the 'My Settings' page and view the filters you have set under the heading 'Current filters'.

12.  How do I read emails from other accounts?
You can read your office emails or emails from any other POP account in Rediffmail. Read emails from up to 3 email accounts.

To read email from other accounts click on the 'Read your other mails'. Then click on 'Add New Mail Account' button. Fill in the required information and click on 'Add New Mail Account' button.

The colored arrow helps you to identify the emails. To receive emails from other accounts click on 'Check Mail'.

The SMS code column will show you the code (P1, P2 and/or P3) that you will need to send as SMS to 7333 in case you want to pull your emails from other email account to your Rediffmail account.

13.  How do I save by default all emails that I send?
You should save all the emails you send, if you consider your emails important. To do this, click on 'Sent Mail Option'. Select the checkbox besides 'Save your sent messages in the Sent Mail Folder' and click on 'Ok' button.

A copy of all your sent emails will be stored in 'Sent Mail' folder.
