1.  What's special about Rediffmail Plus?
Rediffmail Plus is Rediffmail with the following features that are of value to any user who wants to do more with his or her email.
  • Rediffmail Plus offers you a larger storage space (2 GB).
  • It also has a 30MB Briefcase to store documents, photographs or any other heavy files.
  • It gives you the facility to send & receive mails as big as 10 MB.
  • You can send SMS straight from your desktop to mobile phones in India and the US.
  • 100 SMS are offered free with Rediffmail Plus.
  • Additional features such as POP 3 allow you to send and receive your mails into/from desktop clients such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape & Eudora.
  • You get the benefit of no ads in your mailbox or in your outgoing emails.
  • Furthermore unlike Rediffmail, you don't have to login periodically into your account to keep it active.
  • Rediffmail Plus is a premium (paid)
    service with a distinctive premium look and feel.
Currently, Rediffmail Plus is available at an annual subscription price of just Rs. 449/year. Rediffmail users get to keep the same email ID when they upgrade to Rediffmail Plus. Rediffmail users can buy Rediffmail Plus by going to the 'Upgrade Rediffmail' link in the top right of the Rediffmail Inbox.

2.  How is the storage space on Rediffmail Plus allocated?
Rediffmail Plus gives you a bigger mailbox of 2 GB. This storage is inclusive of the emails in the Inbox, Sent Mail, Junk Mail and all other folders but exclusive of the emails in the Delete Mail folder.

3.  What is Briefcase?
Briefcase is a 30 MB storage space provided to you with your Rediffmail Plus account. This service allows you to upload and save files on the web in a quick and easy manner. Uploading and saving your files on the web gives you an opportunity to back up important files, share heavy files with friends and family and access these files from anywhere in the world.

4.  What is 'Send SMS'?
This is a premium feature of Rediffmail Plus. You can send an SMS to a mobile phone in India or the US from your Rediffmail Plus account. Your Rediffmail Plus account comes bundled with 100 units of SMS. Please note that SMS to US is taken equal to 3 units.

5.  What is 'Rediffmail on Mobile'?
With 'Rediffmail on Mobile' you can receive, write as well as reply and forward emails from your mobile phone. Rediffmail on Mobile enables you to receive emails using SMS as well as GPRS.

Receiving emails is free. However messages sent (written, replied or forwarded) from your mobile phone will be charged as per the SMS rates of your service provider. Your service provider would bill these directly to you.

6.  How do I check the storage space I have currently available?
Click on 'Check storage space'. This link takes you to 'My Folders', where the amount of mailbox space you have currently used is displayed. Rediffmail Plus gives you 2 GB of storage.

Information on Rediffmail Plus including features available and instructions on how to use is available in these 'Help' sections.

8.  Why do I get the message "You have been logged out"?
This message is shown if you are inactive for a continuous period of 30 minutes. This is for security reasons and to protect your privacy. Furthermore, even if you are continuously active, you will be logged out every 120 minutes.

9.  How will I renew my Rediffmail Plus subscription?
At the end of your subscription period, we will send you an email to remind you to renew your service and will provide you with a link that takes you to the renewal payment pages. This will enable you to renew your subscription easily and securely.

If you are not a Rediffmail user, you will need to first register for Rediffmail and then upgrade to Rediffmail Plus.
