How do I set my Rediffmail Plus account to pull my other email accounts?
You can set up Rediffmail Plus to access messages from your other email accounts. You can then read these emails in your Rediffmail Plus web account.
You can add up to 3 email accounts to read your email from. To set up access to these accounts from Rediffmail Plus, you will need some information from your System Administrator. You will need:
1. Incoming POP Mail Server name
2. Your Mail Account Username
3. Your Mail Account Password
Please fill in the above details in the form given on the page.
You can set your personal preferences for reading mails from this account. You can choose which folder you want these mails to be shown in. You could pick an existing folder by selecting the folder from the drop down list and clicking on it or create a new one by clicking on the 'Create a new folder?' link.
Choose the colour that you want the list of mails to be displayed in inside the folder by clicking on the box next to the colour that you want.
When you read your mails from your other email account, the email messages are downloaded from that account into Rediffmail Plus. This will remove the email from your other email account and move it to the Rediffmail Plus account. You can choose to leave a copy of the message in the other account.
To do this, click on the box next to the message which says 'Leave a copy of the messages I read in my office email account.
Once you have done this, click on the 'Add New Mail Account' button to add an email account to the list of accounts that you want to access from Rediffmail Plus.
After you have added the email account(s), the details will be displayed as follows
- The Mail Server column will show you the name of the email server that you will access to read your email.
- The User column will show you the username of the email account from which you will read email.
- The Last Downloaded column will show you the date and the time that you last checked email in that account.
- The SMS code column will show you the code (P1, P2 and/or P3) that you will need to send as SMS to 7333 in case you want to pull your mails from other account to your Rediffmail Plus account.
- Click on the Edit link if you want to make changes to the account details.
- Click on the Delete link if you no longer want to access mails in that account from Rediffmail Plus. This will not delete your account itself and you can always set up the same account to be accessed from Rediffmail Plus again if you wish.
- Click on the Check Mail link to download and read mail from that account.
