What is Inbox?
The Inbox is the folder where all your new emails are stored. When you login, you will see how many emails you have in your Inbox and how many of them are new. Your emails are displayed one below the other, with the latest email first, provided you have sorted your emails accordingly. Also shown is the sender of the email, the subject, the date it was sent and the size of the email.

How do I read an email?
Click on the sender's name to read that particular email.

How do I sort my emails?
Rediffmail Plus makes access to (finding) your emails easier by allowing you to sort your emails by Sender (From), by Subject, by Date and by Size.
1. To sort your email by Sender, click on the column header 'To'
2. To sort your email by Subject click on the column header 'Subject'
3. To sort your email by Date click on the column header 'Date'
4. To sort your email by Size click on the column header 'Size'
Your emails are sorted alphabetically in ascending or descending order. Down arrow shows the descending order and the up arrow shows the ascending order.

How do I select an email?
To delete, move or identify an email as spam, you need to first select the email from the Inbox.
To select an email, click on the square box (check box) besides the sender's name.
To select all the emails on the page, click on the square box (check box) besides 'From' in the email sorting row. Incase of Draft and Sent mail folders click on the square box (check box) besides 'To'.

How do I delete emails from my Inbox?
To delete an email, click on the square box (check box) besides the sender's name and click on the delete button at the top. To delete all emails on a page at a time, click on the square box (check box) besides 'From' in the email sorting row and click on the delete button.

How do I move emails from my Inbox to any other folders?
Select email(s) you want to move, then from the 'Move to Folder' drop down select the folder you want to move the email(s) to and click on the 'Move' button besides the drop down.

What is Spam?
Spam is unwanted or junk email that is sent to multiple recipients who have not specifically requested the email.

What NOT to do when you get Spam?
Never reply back to the sender of the Spam email. Never even respond to the Spam email's instructions to reply with the word 'remove'. You may only be confirming that your email address is valid. It is best to delete the message and block sender.

What to do when you get Spam?
Select email(s) you identify as Spam and click on the 'This is Spam' button. This will block the sender and report the email as Spam to Rediffmail anti-spam system.
The anti-spam system takes reports like these from you and other Rediffmail users and tries to minimize all incoming junk emails (spam).

How do I block a sender?
To block a sender - Click on the 'This is Spam' button. This will block the sender and report the email as Spam to Rediffmail Plus anti-spam system.
Or go to 'My Settings' page, click on 'Block Sender', type in the id and click on the 'Block' button. Rediffmail Plus allows you to block up to 500 email ids.

Junk mail is unwanted email, also known as Spam, that is sent to multiple recipients who have not specifically requested the email.
